Best Robot Dogs

5 picks compared, updated May 2026

Robot dogs sit in a slightly different category from most robotic pets. They’re not just designed to mimic a real animal. They’re built around interaction, movement, and in many cases, a sense of personality that develops the more you use them. That also makes them harder to evaluate.

Two robot dogs can have similar features on paper: voice commands, sensors, programmable behaviours, but feel completely different in practice. One might feel responsive and intuitive, while another feels delayed or disconnected. The difference isn’t in what they can do, but in how naturally they do it.

This page brings together all of our robot dog reviews, with a focus on how these devices perform in real-world use. Instead of relying on specs or marketing claims, we look at how each model behaves over time, how it responds, how it moves, and whether it remains engaging after repeated interaction.

If you’re still getting familiar with this category, it’s worth starting with our main guide to robot dogs. If you’re already comparing options and want a shortlist of top performers, head straight to the Best Robot Dogs comparison.

Once you have that context, the reviews below will help you understand which model actually fits your needs.
